Groups invited to participate in Diversity Day
Community organizations, nonprofit groups, issue advocacy organizations, churches and other religious groups are invited to set up information tables a Diversity Day 2007: "Skies Everywhere As Blue as Mine" Oct. 7 on Woodstock Square.
Table space at the festival is free and participants select locations on the square on a first-come-first-serve basis.
"This is a great opportunity to reach out to a multi-cultural audience," said Patrick Murfin, executive director of the festival and an on-stage co-host of the event.
The festival, now in its 12th year, will feature entertainment and presentations on projects that promote peace and understanding in the community.
The festival is looking for volunteers to help distribute fliers in advance of the program and help on the day of the festival with setup, distribution of programs, take down and cleanup.
