Lextech relocates to new suite in Lisle

LISLE -- Lextech Global Services said Tuesday it has relocated its office at 3080 Ogden Ave., Suite 307, to Suite 200 in the same building. The new facility has three times the square footage of the previous space. The extra space will enable the growing business to create a systems engineering area through a series of infrastructure investments.

McDonald's sales up 8.1% in August

OAK BROOK -- McDonald's Corp. Tuesday reported an 8.1 percent rise in August same-store sales, beating analysts' expectations on strong breakfast and beverage sales in the United States and extended store hours in China and Australia. Results were several percentage points better than most Wall Street estimates and stood in stark contrast to recent weak results posted by many other restaurant chains and retailers. In the same period last year, McDonald's same-store sales rose 6 percent. In the United States, sales at restaurants open at least 13 months rose 7.4 percent.
