Forum to help veterans set for tonight

Residents interested in helping returning veterans can attend a public meeting at 7 p.m. today at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights.

Mount Prospect resident John Brennan is mobilizing residents and support agencies to help veterans. Some of the topics that will be discussed include crisis intervention, family counseling, job training and more.

Arlington Heights resident Barb Tsutsumi will be at tonight's meeting. Tsutsumi's son, Dan, will return home from the Marines in a few weeks and start applying to colleges. Dan joined the Marines shortly after he graduated from Prospect High School in 2003.

Tonight's meeting should last until 9:30. Brennan plans to host a second meeting in about a month.
