•Christine Kozul of Hoffman Estates, a student in School of Management at Binghamton University in New York, was named to the fall 2006 dean's list for outstanding academic achievement.

•Lindsay Lyon of Hoffman Estates, a freshman at Oklahoma City University, was named to the 2007 spring semester dean's list.

•Patrick Gipson of Schaumburg graduated May 21 from the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Mass., with a bachelor's degree in political science.

•Karen Doane of Schaumburg, a student at Conant High School, is the recipient of a 2007 Alexian Brothers Medical Center Auxiliary Healthcare Scholarship. The awards are given annually to students undertaking studies in the medical field. Applicants are judged based on academic scores, community service involvement, personal need, references and essay-writing abilities.

•Justin S. Rosenberg of Schaumburg graduated in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in English-writing from the College of Arts and Sciences at Millikin University, Decatur.

•Daniel William Simpson of Hoffman Estates graduated in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in music education-vocal from the College of Fine Arts at Millikin University, Decatur.

•Danielle Elizabeth Zyrkowski of Schaumburg graduated in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in musical theater from the College of Fine Arts at Millikin University, Decatur.

•Phillip C. Rachal of Schaumburg graduated in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in management (international business concentration) from the Tabor School of Business at Millikin University, Decatur.

•Diana Paola of Hoffman Estates graduated with a master of fine arts degree from Illinois State University in Normal at the end of the spring 2007 semester.

•Menissa Rotondi of Hoffman Estates graduated with a master of science degree from Illinois State University in Normal at the end of the spring 2007 semester.

•Amy Funk of Hoffman Estates was named to the fall 2006 dean's list for earning straight As in the College of Biological Sciences at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is majoring in genetics and cellular biology.

•Sean Doebler of Schaumburg was named to the president's list during the spring 2007 semester at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

•Anthony Weis and Gregory Rosen, both of Hoffman Estates, were named to the president's list during the spring 2007 semester at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

•Kathleen M. O'Connor of Hoffman Estates was named to the 2007 spring semester dean's list at Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, for earning at least a 3.5 grade point average.
