Living Tree concert in Mt. Prospect

Residents of retirement and nursing homes Friday afternoon enjoyed the first of several performances of the Living Christmas Tree Concert, now in its 11th year in Mount Prospect.

The event at Community Presbyterian Church, 407 N. Main St., features members of the choir standing in a 30-foot tower of shimmering lights and branches.

The free hour-long presentation was being held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, through Sunday, Dec. 14.

This year's theme is "American Idol," on the search for the perfect Christmas carol.
