Fox River Grove Memorial Library upgrading computers
The Fox River Grove Memorial Library, 407 Lincoln Ave., has announced that on Tuesday, Dec. 2, patron computers will not be available for use until 5 p.m. A new, automated Personal Computer Reservation System will be installed.
In the future, patrons will no longer have to register at the Circulation Desk to use a computer. Instead, computer users will use their Fox River Grove library card to sign onto a computer. Reciprocal borrowers also will sign directly onto a computer. When all the computers are in use, patrons will be able to reserve a machine and will know exactly how long they will have to wait before the machine is available.
As part of this upgrade, a public print station with a coin box has also been installed. This new addition to the library will allow patrons to know exactly what their print job will cost before it is printed and patrons will be able to make color copies if they wish. The price for copies and printouts will remain unchanged. Black and white copies and/or prints are 15 cents per page and color copies and/or prints are 50 cents per page.
