Bloomingdale man arrested in stabbing

Hanover Park police Tuesday arrested an 18-year-old Bloomingdale man suspected of stabbing a 19-year-old Aurora man.

Aaron R. Wilkins of 127 Brewster Court, Unit A, in Bloomingdale was charged with battery. He's been released from custody after posting 10 percent of his $1,000 bond, Deputy Chief David Webb said.

The victim was reportedly stabbed twice in the back on the 5500 block of Court A in Hanover Park about midnight during a dispute with Wilkins, an acquaintance of his, Webb said.

The victim has already been released from the hospital, he added.

Hanover Park police were called to Adventist GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to investigate the reported stabbing. The victim was being treated there.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Wilkins, Webb said.
