Briefs: Biondi seeks toys in Aurora

Chicago radio disc jockey Dick Biondi's toy drive makes a stop today at Westfield Fox Valley Mall on Route 59 in Aurora. Biondi will broadcast on 94.7 WLS-FM and online at 947trueoldies.com from inside the mall where he and his "elves" will collect toys from noon to 3 p.m. The new, unwrapped toys will benefit the Uhlich Children's Advantage Network, which supports abused, troubled or neglected children.

Campton toy drive

Campton Hills police are once again accepting Toys for Tots donations. New toys should be dropped off in a collection box at the police station, 40W115 Campton Crossings Drive, Unit B, no later than Monday. Of particular need this year are toys for boys ages 12 and older. Call (630) 584-0330.

Get your tree

The LaFox Civic Organization is selling Christmas trees from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays until Christmas On LaFox Road between Keslinger Road and Route 38. A part of the proceeds will be donated to Lazarus House shelter in St. Charles. Winter jackets are also being collected for charity. A $5 discount will be given with a donation.

Dist. 94 scholarship raffle

The Education Foundation of Community High School District 94 in West Chicago is holding a $10,000 scholarship raffle through Monday. The foundation is partnering with student clubs to help fund activities, with a portion of each $25 ticket going to the club represented by the student selling the ticket.
