Why should Blagojevich resign?
I don't think Blagojevich should resign, why should he?
Bill Clinton, Democrat, didn't. He lied to a federal judge and a federal grand jury about immoral sex with a female intern, not his wife, half his age, and under his direct supervision and control.
U.S. Representative William "$90,000 in the freezer" Jefferson, Democrat, didn't resign, voters had to vote him out.
U.S. Rep. Charlie Rangel, Democrat, hasn't resigned. He's is the Chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, the committee that writes tax law. He's being investigated for not reporting rental income on his tax returns.
U. S. Senator Kennedy, Democrat, didn't resign. Instead, he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, after his car plunged off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island killing passenger Mary Jo Kopechne.
U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, Democrat, hasn't resigned. He, together with Sen. Dodd, Democrat, created the largest financial disaster in the world by providing protection and running interference for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as long as they continued granting and buying bad loans. Frank is also the guy who hired a male prostitute as a personal assistant who then used Frank's apartment for male-prostitution.
Mayor Daley, Democrat, hasn't resigned. I lost track on how many scandals have occurred under his watch. Of course, he didn't know anything about them.
Nope, I wouldn't resign. If I was in Blago's shoes, I would put the word out: "There will be a whole slew of resignations the day I resign!"
