Rochelle Zell students win Model United Nations

For a ninth straight year, Rochelle Zell Jewish High School in Deerfield won the top team award presented at the National High School Model United Nations Conference. The Tigers scholars participated in the session March 15-19 at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City.

Representing Poland, the high school won a team award of distinction for research and preparation. Rochelle Zell also again earned the highest honor awarded at the conference, the team award of distinction in debate and simulation.

Additionally, Rochelle Zell students won 10 individual awards, including eight pairs of students who worked as a team.

Among the individual award winners were Northbrook residents senior Aden Lerner and freshman Talia Resnick. With their respective partners, Lerner and Resnick earned awards of distinction for their presentations.
