See Carpentersville politics at home

The Daily Herald's beat reporter for Carpentersville, Larissa Chinwah, recently wrote a scathing editorial on how village board members were being "derailed by personal jabs, attacks, name-calling, and bickering." (Carpentersville meetings are out of control.)

I have decided to put up the entire board meeting on the Web for everyone to see. Simply go to video.google.com and type in "vocOctober" to watch the meeting. There you will also find clips of every single agenda item for those who don't want to scroll through nearly three hours of video.

Online video sharing sites are an excellent tool for everyone to now watch local community events, including the village of Carpentersville board meetings, without requiring that they have to be forced to subscribe to Comcast cable and sit down in front of a television at one night on a certain month, and wait for hours to get to what they really want to see.

Online video can't make a politician honest, but it sure can expose a dishonest one.
