Fire causes $150,000 damage to Mount Prospect home

A Mount Prospect house was significantly damaged by fire Wednesday.

Officials said they were called to a split-level house at 1512 Larch Drive shortly after 8 p.m. and were able to extinguish the fire by 8:24 p.m.

The fire department said Thursday the cause of the blaze is under investigation and damage is estimated at about $150,000, according to Lt. Tim Evans, of the Mount Prospect Fire Department.
