Streamwood Lions are proud to help
As leaves and snowflakes start the fall, and as we get ready to sit down to our turkey dinners to give thanks for all we have, the Streamwood Lions Club would like to thank the Streamwood and tri-village area for their generosity during the Streamwood Lions Club Candy Day Collection.
The funds collected on Candy Day enable the Lions Club to provide vision and hearing services to the underprivileged in our community. Portions of the money collected also provide food during our holiday food drives and other charitable acts throughout the year. Your contributions will make a difference in someone's life and that person will be better off because of you.
Through the efforts of a dedicated group of individuals which make up the Streamwood Lions Club, many families in the Streamwood community will be better off. So, on behalf of the members of the Streamwood Lions Club who stood on the street corners and in front of stores collecting donations last October for the Annual Lions Club Candy Day, I want to thank you, each and everyone, for helping the Streamwood Lions Club serve the community. Without your support much of what we do would not be possible.
The Streamwood Lions Club would like to invite any person interested in making a difference in the community to come join our small band of proud Lions as we work to serve those in need.
The Streamwood Lions Club meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Monday of every month at The Tap, on Irving Park Road, in Streamwood and the public is always welcome to come and learn about Lionism.
Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world, focusing on eliminating preventable blindness in our lifetime. The Streamwood Lions Club has been in existence since 1960 and has helped countless members of our community in many ways.
