Arrest made in Grayslake-area robbery

A Wildwood man was arrested Wednesday night after he robbed a man in an unincorporated area of Lake County near Grayslake, sheriff's police said.

Mick Zimmer, 19, of 18000 Twin Lakes Blvd., was charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated robbery. The robbery occurred outside a house on the 33000 block of Cove Road, police said. The victim told police he came home from work and was rushed by three people.

After a metal object was put to the victim's throat, he turned over his cell phone and $400 in cash to the thieves, police said. That night, deputies stopped a vehicle in the area and found Zimmer and three other people inside. All were arrested, but only Zimmer was charged, police said.

The three others were released. The search for the two other robbers continued Friday.
