Others can learn from his success

Congratulations to Kirk Johnson, who was recognized with an award from his alma mater Community High School of West Chicago for personifying the American dream through his humanitarian work and his organization, The List Project to Settle Iraqi Refugees.

Kirk epitomizes the values America stands for. Values such as a strong work ethic, moral courage, social entrepreneurship and concern for the human race are qualities that have inspired people all over the world.

Aspiring toward these goals represents the American dream because it builds the very foundation of our core existence.

Thank you to the Daily Herald for sharing news of this honor so that others can learn from his example and keep the American dream alive.
