Learn best practices to prevent soil erosion

The Kane-DuPage Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring a New and Creative Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Practices Seminar to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at James Pate Phillip State Park, 2054 W. Stearns Road, Bartlett.

This full-day seminar is designed to highlight options for meeting new requirements for erosion and sediment control on construction sites.

Sessions topics will include, new Illinois Urban Manual and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System standards, construction entrances, stormwater conveyance, seeding and inlet protection. Several vendors will display products throughout the day.
