Congrats

Congratulations to Larkin High School math teacher Karen Daniels, who served this past summer in the capacity of Assessor for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. She received her board certification nine years ago, and has been instrumental in helping other members of Larkin who are interested in pursuing this certification.

Student Advisory

It is difficult to know how students view the events, instruction and activities in their school. Since they are what it is all about, U-46 has a Student Advisory that provides direct input for high school students. The students meet with Dr. Torres monthly and provide the students' perspective of what is happening in the schools. Members have been selected from all five of the district high schools and the alternative high school.

U-46 has a number of advisory committees that work with the administration to provide insight and suggestions. For a list of all of the advisories please click here. Anyone interested in serving on an advisory council can call (847) 888-5000, ext. 5040.
