Fox Valley Newcomers host luncheon

Join the Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors at a luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the St. Charles Country Club, 1250 Country Club Road in St. Charles.

The social hour commences at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon, followed by a rendition of holiday songs from the very talented Cody Clausen.

The lunch begins with an acorn squash bisque followed by your choice of roast pork loin -- a slow-cooked rosemary rubbed pork loin with dried apple and sage dressing and hard cider reduction -- or Chicken Noel, a roulade of roast chicken stuffed with cranberry sage dressing, fig port wine sauce, acorn squash rice blend followed by a dessert of a holiday sundae and your choice of coffee or tea.

The cost is $25 and the deadline for payment is Wednesday, Dec. 10. Call Denise at (630) 740-4215 for details.

Although it is primarily a social organization, club members also participate in community service. Each year, they undertake one or more charitable, humanitarian, or social welfare projects.

The group meets regularly during the months of September through May via special interest groups and the monthly luncheons.
