Rotary Club helps fight polio

The Rotary Club of Rolling Meadows is accepting donations for Polio Plus, a program created by Rotary International in 1985 to immunize all the world's children against polio.

To date, Rotary has contributed $700 million and countless volunteer hours to the protection of more than two billion children in 122 countries.

The effort provides polio vaccine, operational and medical support, laboratory equipment and educational materials.

Rotary International has been challenged by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to raise $100 million, which will be matched by the Gates Foundation.

Additional information about the Rotary International Polio Plus program can be found at www.rotary.org.
