Des Plaines

• A burgundy Ford F150 truck was stolen from the 600 block of West Sandy Lane overnight Nov. 10-11. The loss, including an in-dash stereo, satellite radio, checkbook and I-Pass transponder, was estimated at $15,600.

• Police said an officer saw a drug sale in progress on the 600 block of North Wolf Road around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10, which resulted in the arrest of Kenneth D. Bolls, 33, 201 S. Bushing Road, Lake Zurich. Bolls was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. His court date is Nov. 18.

• Keith James Huff, 17, 9 E. Debbie, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 8:10 p.m. Nov. 10 on the 1900 block of Shepherd Drive and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Dec. 12.

• Thieves stole three laptop computers Nov. 5 or 6 out of a warehouse at 255 W. Oakton St. The loss was estimated at $4,500.

• Someone tried and failed to climb through a roof hatch into a grocery store on the 900 block of Oakton Street between noon Nov. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Nov. 11.

• Burglars stole a laptop computer and MP3 player out of an unlocked apartment on the 1100 block of Holiday Lane between 7-7:15 p.m. Nov. 11. The loss was estimated at $1,600.

Mount Prospect

• David H. Schock, 23, 189 Raleigh Court, Wood Dale, was arrested around 5 p.m. Nov. 7 and charged with felony burglary after for what police say was a series of vehicle break-ins. Police said Schock and a male accomplice broke into a 1997 Ford Taurus station wagon around 1 a.m. Nov. 7 on the 3000 block of Lynn Court and stole a satellite radio and stereo faceplate. They then drove to an apartment complex on the 1700 block of Forest Cove Drive, where they stole an in-dash stereo out of one vehicle and burglarized two others, then hit another car on the 300 block of Hawthorne Court. Officers chased them to a parking lot on the 2200 block of South Busse Road, where they ran from the car and disappeared. At around 9:40 p.m., police say, Schock called 911 claiming that his car had been stolen. Officers invited him to the station, where he was confronted with evidence from the squad car's camera showing Schock and the accomplice running from his car, and he admitted burglarizing the vehicles. He told officers he and his companion hid the car stereo and faceplate in bushes on the 1700 block of Forest Cove Drive, and officers found the items there. He did not reveal the identity of his accomplice. His court date is Nov. 25.

• An apartment on the 1300 block of Cottonwood Lane was burglarized between 2-7 p.m. Nov. 11; a designer watch and money were taken. There was no sign of forced entry; the loss was estimated at $2,760.

• Vandals shattered a window on a 2002 Chevrolet Impala at an apartment complex on the 1800 block of Knights Bridge Drive overnight Nov. 10-11; damage was estimated at $500. Someone smashed a window on the same car about two months ago, but the owner did not report the damage.

Prospect Heights

• Vandals smashed a window on a 2000 Honda Civic on the 900 block of East Old Willow Road between 3 p.m. Nov. 10 and 9 a.m. Nov. 11. A damage estimate was not available.

• Vandals smashed the front door window at an apartment building on the 700 bock of Piper Lane between 9:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 9. A damage estimate was not available.
