Biden shows that he lacks faith in Obama

After watching the vice presidential debates, I believe Sen. Joseph Biden severely and consciously violated his own character, ethics and principles when he selfishly accepted the nomination for vice president for a presidential candidate that he does not believe is experienced enough either internationally or domestically to be the commander-in-chief of the greatest fighting forces in the world.

He simply gave in to party pressure and perhaps thought, "Hey, I might get to be vice president!"

On the other hand, I believe Sarah Palin honestly and authentically trusts that John McCain has the right stuff by virtue of his experiences in military and public life in accordance with her own and America's fundamental principles of justice, courage and leadership.

I happen to be in agreement with Sen. Biden's initial assessment of the Democratic candidate.

To be a leader in the world, the United States must earn the respect of all nations in the world. If not respect, then fear will do fine.

Having served my country in Vietnam, Bosnia and Kosovo during my military career, I can tell you first hand that the respect (or fear) combined with our founding fathers stated and our internationally respected cause of freedom must be a required characteristic of our next president. It is the right stuff.

Having said this, I am reminded of President Ronald Reagan's decision on April 15, 1985 to bomb Libya after an April 5th Libyan supported terrorist attack on a West Berlin Disco that killed two American servicemen and wounded 200 people.

This military attack was meant to send a message to Muammar al-Gaddafi condemning his support of international terrorism. Mission accomplished.
