Experience no longer matters
McCain campaign slogans from the "Straight Talk Express." "Experience matters" and "Country First." I think the straight talk express has derailed. With the selection of Sarah Palin for a running mate it appears experience no longer matters. With his candidacy flagging in the polls and enthusiasm waning, especially from the right wing, he picked the most conservative candidate he could find. He insults the intelligence of women everywhere with his assumption (or hope) that women will vote for the Republican ticket based on gender rather than issues.
Senator McCain has prided himself on not being divisive and on his ability to reach across the aisle. Clearly on this choice he has changed course.
Is McCain putting his country first with his VP choice? I think it's McCain first, party second and country third.
