'Stop, look, listen' signs need posting
It seems to me that policemen should have more to do that setting up speed traps in areas where the speed limit is lower than it should be for the kind of street it is posted for. For instance, Roosevelt Road, between Winfield and Warrenville roads, is posted 35 mph on a four-lane highway. This is a setup for nothing more than a chance to give out tickets. Not nice and certainly not a good way to be spending the taxpayers' money.
There are enough drivers out there on the cell phones driving with one hand on the wheel and their mouth going a mile a minute and with their mind obviously not paying attention to their driving. And another example, a driver who cuts out in front of you and causes you to have to slam on your brakes. They think they made it just because the actually got in the line of traffic and they didn't get hit - not true. And people who step onto the street without looking left or right and if you dare to blow your horn at them, they get mad at you. I would like to know whatever happened to teaching people to "Stop, Look and Listen." Anyway, it seems to me a better use of a policeman could be giving out tickets for a more potentially serious accident that a driver driving safely and slightly over a speed limit.
Let's be fair about things, and I think you should think about posting signs all over the place that read "Stop, Look and Listen."
