Instead of change, seek accountability

With the election looming before us, we must all change our focus and quit complaining about the horrendous state our country finds itself in right now - both politically and economically. There is responsibility to be had for this phenomenal mess at every level - but the bottom line is that we, the voters and taxpayers, did not demand accountability for the actions of our government and our big businesses.

We sat back and let them run amok as long as it all worked like a well-oiled machine and most of us, at some level, benefited from the incredible greed driving everything (our 401k's grew, our home values went up at amazing rates, we were able to borrow cheap money, our jobs were relatively secure, etc.)

The key words throughout the Presidential campaign to date have been "Change" vs. "Experience." let's get the priorities back where they need to be - and whichever of the candidates gets elected, we, the voters of this country, must demand "Accountability".

I'm not overly impressed with either but unfortunately, we have allowed our highest levels of government to become seats of mediocrity at best, by continuing to accept "the lesser of two evils", and reward those who only can use empty buzzwords, change opinions at the whim of a poll, and have no ability to lead or inspire confidence because we have chosen to vote for most pliable rather than most character. Reward politicians that have retained their ethics, kept their promises, and did the job they were elected for - representing YOU. Vote out those who failed.

Let us learn from the wreckage around us, and never allow the most incompetent to get elected to represent us again.
