Elgin
• A traffic stop on a Jeep on State and Orange streets at 3:45 p.m. Saturday resulted in two arrests. Two plastic bags of marijuana weighing 27.3 grams and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia including smoking pipes, bowls and a water bong were located in the vehicle, according to a police report. Michael J. McDonnell, 19, of 36W555 Stoneleaf Road, St. Charles, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Patrick J. Lang, 19, of 4N130 Wyngate Road, St. Charles, was charged with possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Both teens posted $100 bonds and were released with Oct. 10 court dates in Elgin.
Kane County
• Tanya L. Sadler, 19, of 717 Irving Ave., Woodstock, was ticketed at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle after crashing into a ditch at 39W910 Route 20, Plato Township, police said. No injuries were reported.
• Walter M. Stritzel, 36, of 632 Sanberg Drive, Sycamore, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. Friday and charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after crashing a truck into a utility pole at 42W629 McDonald Road, Plato Township, police said. No injuries were reported, but the crash damaged the utility pole and knocked down wires. • A recycling bin valued at $65 was reported stolen Aug. 29 from a yard at 39W225 Acres Place, Blackberry Township, according to a police report.
