Abstinence isn't realistic for teens

Population control is one way to help manage the world's resources and energy so that we can all live a comfortable lifestyle, now and in the future.

I don't believe in government-mandated population control, but rather in allowing each woman to determine when and how many children she has.

It seems that Sarah Palin's belief in abstinence did not allow her to give this choice to her daughter (unwed and pregnant in high school).

Instead, let's communicate our beliefs to our teenagers - No sex outside of a committed relationship, for example - and then hand them a box of condoms when they turn 16.

Telling teenagers not to have sex isn't realistic.
