Win bid to direct St. Charles East marching band

The St. Charles East Band department is auctioning the opportunity to direct the marching band at the Marching Band Concert on Thursday, Oct. 2.

The winning bidder will direct their choice of a Big Ten fight song in its entirety. The St. Charles East marching band will learn and practice the fight song designated by the winning bidder for its annual October marching band concert, scheduled this year for Thursday, Oct. 2, at St. Charles East High School. All proceeds will go to the STCE Band Boosters to help offset the various costs associated with the band.

The Band Boosters will list the auction on eBay (www.ebay.com). The listing will begin the week of Sept. 15, with bids closing on Sunday, Sept. 21. Check the East Band Web site, www.stcebands.com, for a link to the listing and additional information.

The St. Charles East High School Band Boosters Club is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and the state of Illinois.
