Arlington Heights

• A 2004 Mazda 6 on the 500 block of Circle Hill Drive was burglarized between 2 p.m. Aug. 25 and 7:40 a.m. Aug. 26. Stolen were a 1,000 watt amplifier, subwoofer and 50-60 CDs. There was no sign of forced entry; a loss estimate was not available.

• A 2000 Nissan Pathfinder in a lot on the 2400 block of South Goebbert Road was broken into between 8:45 and 8:55 p.m. Aug. 26 and a GPS unit stolen. The damage and loss was estimated at $350.

Buffalo Grove

• A 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe in a lot at Busch Grove Park, 951 McHenry Road, was broken into around 9:10 p.m. Aug. 26 and a purse stolen, all while the owner was playing softball. Loss was estimated at $280.

Des Plaines

• A 1999 Chevrolet Suburban on the 2100 block of Chestnut was vandalized between 5 p.m. Aug. 25 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 26; damage was estimated at $2,500.

• Someone climbed through an open apartment window on the 1500 block of Woodland Avenue between 1 and 4 p.m. Aug. 26 and stole a laptop computer worth about $1,200.

• A wheelchair was stolen from the parkway in front of a home on the 1300 block of Willow Avenue between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Aug. 26. The woman resident told police she left it there so her husband could use it when he got home. The chair was worth about $500.

• A 2008 Chevrolet HHR parked in a hotel lot on the 2900 block of South River Road was vandalized between 7:45 p.m. Aug. 25 and 6:40 a.m. Aug. 26. Damage was estimated at $250.

Mount Prospect

• Someone damaged a Chevrolet Express van on the 600 block of Ironwood when they tried and failed to steal the spare tire between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25. Damage was estimated at $500.

Prospect Heights

• A naked man ran out from behind bushes on East Camp McDonald Road at North Owen Court around 3:20 p.m. Aug. 20, frightening a 45-year-old woman and her granddaughter. He ran behind a tree and disappeared.

• The outside wall of an apartment building on the 700 block of Piper Lane was vandalized with spray paint recently. A damage estimate was not available.

• A blue 2000 Chrysler 300/300M (IL plate number: 421 6404) was stolen from an apartment lot on the 800 block of Crimson Court between 10 p.m. Aug. 24 and 1:19 a.m. Aug. 25. The victim had left the ignition key in the cup holder. The car's value was not available.

Wheeling

• Oscar Reyes, 17, 1009 Kenilworth Drive, Wheeling, was arrested around 10:55 p.m. Aug. 25 at Dundee Road and Cedar Drive and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Oct. 2.
