'Change' favored over 'experience'
John McCain can be seen in tape from a debate belittling Mitt Romney's experience as just a small town mayor and short-time governor. Straight talk indeed.
Before Palin, the Republican mantra was experience, experience. After Palin, it's change. Guess they saw how change was working better as a strategy. Just change the sign on the Straight Talk Express.
Countless Republican politicians and pundits can actually say, with a straight face, that being able to see Russia from your state counts as foreign policy experience. "Hey, that light there, could that be Moscow?"
Its certainly sexist and unfair to talk about Palin's family, but let's fly in the boyfriend/father-to-be for the convention. And we've all seen her family more now than we've seen Obama's children.
And shouldn't "Thanks, but no thanks." mean that you're giving the money back? Even if the giver says you can keep it? Talk, but no straight talk.
The list goes on. Amazingly, there is more lying and cynical counting on the stupidity of the American voter in this election than with Rove/Bush ... or maybe it's just not as well disguised. Lying straight to our faces. With a smile. Because they know it works.
