Fox Valley Newcomers group to hold luncheon at bistro

Join the Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors for a sampling of wines paired with deliciously prepared food at their first luncheon gathering for the 2008-09 year from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the Wine Exchange and Sage Bistro, 1 W. Illinois St. in St. Charles.

Partake in a tasting of specially selected wines followed by a lunch of prosciutto and roasted pear salad appetizer; a salad of field greens with a champagne vinaigrette; a main course of herb-marinated chicken breast with roasted potatoes and tomatoes ending with a desert of crème brûlée while enjoying a beautiful view of the Fox River.

The cost for this event is $22 per person. The deadline for reservations is Wednesday, Sept. 10. For information, call Denise McCormick at (630) 740-4215.
