With Peace and Justice for All
Christ Community Mennonite Church, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg is sponsoring "With Peace and Justice for All" from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.
Sessions will be led by Emmaus Ministries of Chicago, Evergreen Leaders, Christian Peacemakers, Department of Peace, Lombard Mennonite Peace Center, Bread for the World, Chicago Interfaith Committee for Worker's Rights, Campaign for Better Health Care and worship experiences. Our much-anticipated annual listing of holiday bazaars and craft shows will publish Friday, Oct. 3, in the Neighbor section. The deadline to be included is Thursday, Sept. 25. Library to host session on Medicare
Questions and confusion often go hand-in-hand with Medicare benefits, but many will be cleared up in the "Medicare's Best Kept Secrets" program from 7:30-9 p.m., today, Sept. 17, in the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Karen Zych of Merit Hospice Service will provide hospice information for Medicare beneficiaries and their families, as well as information for volunteers. Log Home & Timber Frame expo
The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, 1551 N. Thoreau Drive, Schaumburg, will host the Log Home & Timber Frame Expo from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.
