All Catholics pay for crimes by priests

The Aug. 18 article by Chuck Goudie hit home and does get us thinking about liars. I for one don't give a care about John Edwards because he's just another lying politician, but Chuck is right about the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago making the announcement of who's paying for the settlements. OK, it's not from our current Sunday donations, it's from property sales and real estate holdings.

My question is the same: Where did the original money to secure these investments come from? It had to be from me, my father and grandfather and everyone that had been around for the last 150 years dropping their Sunday collection. Our donations had to go in that direction, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. The Catholic Church has to make some real solid policies on how to handle pedophiles hidden in priests' clothing. These pedophiles should be found out and dismissed before going out to the public.

It could be done and controlled a lot better than what is being done today. Did they ever hear of zero tolerance?

That means once you're out, you're out.
