Fashion, girlfriends and lunch -- what better way to spend a Sunday
Plan an afternoon with your girlfriends on Oct. 19 while the men sit home and watch the Bears play the Minnesota Vikings. At least that is the suggestion of Dianna Franzen, coordinator for the fashion show being planned by the Mount Prospect Historical Society.
The Woodfield store of Chico's, a national women's clothier which features a full line of private label apparel, accessories, and jewelry, will show their fall line of clothing.
Tickets are now on sale for the luncheon and show which will be held at Bristol Court Banquets, 828 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect.
The Sunday afternoon event will begin with a cash bar at noon, followed by lunch at 1 p.m. and the show at approximately 1:45 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per person and tables of 12 may be reserved for $480. They may be purchased at www.mtphist.org or by phoning (847) 392-9006.
Models for the show have been recruited from the membership of clubs and organizations, as well as from the faculties and staffs of local schools like Euclid School, John Jay School, Lions Park, St. Emily's, St. Raymond's and St. Paul and entities like the Downtown Merchants Association and the library.
And Mario Tricocci's Woodfield hair salon has agreed to provide hair styling for the volunteer models.
All proceeds from the fashion show will benefit the Mount Prospect Historical Society's many educational programs.
