No need to call out the Guard

I'm sure that Mr. Thompson of Lisle is a fine gentleman, but seems to have missed the point on Gov. Sarah Palin, in his letter in the paper on Sept. 7. The people of Alaska are undoubtedly very grateful that there has been no dire emergency that would have occasioned "calling out the Guard." What would our state budget look like if we had more prudent leadership?
