Child injured on ski jump
A child was flown to the hospital Saturday after an apparent accident at a Fox River Grove ski club, a fire official said.
The child, whose age and name were not released, was flown by Flight for Life helicopter to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with a head injury, said Fox River Grove Fire Lt. Eldee Jackson.
Jackson said firefighters responded around 9:30 or 10 a.m. to reports of a "minor child" hurt on a ski jump at Norge Ski Club, 100 Ski Hill Road.
Further details were not immediately available. Neither the ski club nor police could be reached Saturday night.
