Move-in made easy

Some Illinois universities now offer a move-in service for students.

Woodridge-based Boerman Moving & Storage offers a "College Moves" service for suburban Chicago students. They will drop off a 24x38x29 container at your house, let you load it up and then pick it up a week before move-in day and deliver it to a specific dorm room. When the student arrives at school, his or her belongings are already waiting for them.

Boerman Moving & Storage offers the service to students at Western, Southern and Eastern Illinois universities.

It costs $185 for the first container and $55 for each additional container. Most students have two containers.
