Briefs: Kindergarten classes delayed

Glen Ellyn Elementary District 89's Briar Glen School kindergarten classes will be delayed by about a week as a result of the July 18 fire that damaged part of the school. Kindergartners will begin classes Sept. 2, while the rest of the district starts on time Wednesday now that restoration work is complete and the building has passed inspections. Officials said kindergarten instructional materials lost in the fire were reordered but haven't arrived.

Wheaton police issue alert

Wheaton police are looking for a man in his 40s driving a dark green sedan who exposed himself about 4 p.m. Friday near Wheaton and Madison avenues. Anyone with information should call Cmdr. Joseph Eversole at (630) 260-2055.
