Route 31 closed in Crystal Lake

Both northbound and southbound lanes on Route 31 in Crystal Lake were closed as of 5 p.m. today after a bad crash, authorities said.

Police and fire personnel were on the scene and dispatchers did not have any additional information on possible injuries or when the stretch of 31 between Virginia and Rakow Road would reopen.
