St. Charles
• Ruth M. Cruz, 27, of 124 E. Stimeel St., West Chicago, was arrested July 23 and charged with stealing seven pieces of children's clothing and one baby toy from a Kohl's department store in St. Charles, according to a police report.
• Jose Carmen Baltazar, 29, of 1212 King Circle 35, West Chicago, was arrested Tuesday and charged with speeding and not having a valid driver's license.

• Someone smashed two decorative lights on the south side of the building at Fox River Periodontics, 2075 Blackberry Drive, between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police.
• A burglar smashed the front glass door at Pepper Valley Pantry, 2401 Kaneville Road, at 12:12 a.m. Thursday. The burglar took a of snack food.
• A Best Buy gift card with no value remaining was taken out of an unlocked Dodge Diplomat at 4:25 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of High Street.

• Two camera lenses, two CDs and a battery charger were among $705 in items reported stolen Thursday from a vehicle at 6N809 Irwin Ave., St. Charles Township, according to a police report.
• A Garmin Street Pilot global positioning system valued at $200 was reported stolen July 24 from a vehicle at 34W726 S. James Drive, St. Charles Township.
