Congress has done nothing on energy
Hundreds of people - scientists, bankers, oil men, Wall Street people - have appeared in front of a hundred different congressional energy committees and there is one question that has never been asked of the Congress. What have you, the Congress, done to alleviate the energy crisis'?
Answer? Nothing!
In fact, for every proposal submitted, Congress and their green friends come up with a counterproposal - windmills, convert food into fuel for the politicians' limos, and Al Gore's huge mansion. Meanwhile, say no to everything else.
We all know Congress is not too bright: the proof being that the energy problem is a train that has been heading right at us for over 40 years and what has Congress done to help? Answer. Nothing! They have tried to shift the blame to anyone but themselves. The demon "speculators", car companies, greedy oil executives, the world oil market - these are the villains, they are innocent. After 40 years and they are still singing the same tune and, worse, they have many singing with them.
Would I be right to call the American voter a sucker? Term limits are the only answer.
