Blood Pressure Testing: The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center will offer blood pressure testing and education for adults at no charge to Lake County residents at the following times and places:

• Waukegan County Building, 18 N. County St., Waukegan, 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 2.

• Tiffany Senior Apartments, 893 Tiffany, Antioch, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 3.

• Park Place Senior Center, 414 S. Lewis, Waukegan, 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 8.

• Foss Park District, 1730 Lewis Ave., North Chicago, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 10.

• Department of Public Aid, 3235 Belvidere Road, Waukegan, 9-10 a.m. Sept. 15.

• Zion Library, 2400 Gabriel Ave., Zion, 6-7 p.m. Sept. 15.

• Faith Tabernacle Church, 2801 30th St., Zion, 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 17.

• Zion Piggly Wiggly, 3367 Sheridan Road, Zion, 9-11 a.m. Sept. 19.

Immunization Clinics for Children: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays; 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 1-6 p.m. Thursdays; and 9-11 a.m. the second Saturday of each month, Lake County Health Department Belvidere Medical Building Annex, 2303 Dodge Avenue, Waukegan. Children can receive all routine childhood immunizations. The cost of an immunization is $10, but no one is denied services due to inability to pay. Parents are asked to bring their children's past immunization records. If a child has an immunization letter from a school nurse, it should also be brought to the clinic. No appointment necessary. Kids Back to School Safety Seminar: 2-3:30, Aug. 30, Katai Martial Arts, 6080 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee. Free seminar for school-aged children will stress back-to-school issues like dealing with bullies, bus stop safety, stranger awareness, avoidance and prevention of attacks, plus self-defense and escape. 5K Twilight Run: 6 p.m. Sept. 6, Gorton Center parking lot, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association will hold "Walk, Run or Wheel" with a 6 p.m. start time for wheelchair participants and a 6:05 p.m. start time for runners and walkers. The race will be followed by a post party in the Gorton Center parking lot from 7-10 p.m. Registration, limited to 500 runners, is $20 per person until Aug. 30, $25 after. The fee to attend the post race only will be $7 entry fee; children under 12 are $3. Proceeds will benefit GLASA.

Huntington's disease Support Group: 7:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month, 1116 Stratford Lane, Lake Zurich. Free, ongoing support group for people with Huntington's disease, caregivers or interested parties. For more information, call (847) 438-2403.
