Crash closes eastbound Elgin-O'Hare Expressway
Crews were on the scene of two separate crashes on the eastbound lanes of the Elgin O'Hare Expressway about this evening.
An Illinois State Police spokesman said all eastbound lanes shut down around 6 p.m. after a vehicle crashed about half a mile west of Meacham Road. Whether there were injuries wasn't immediately known. At least one lane remained closed as of 6:30 p.m.
The second crash occurred about one mile west of Roselle Road. Three vehicles were involved, although no one is believed to be injured. Vehicles from that crash have been moved to the right shoulder, police said.
The Roselle Fire Department is assisting police.
