Fire damages Bloomingdale house
Bloomingdale firefighters battled a residential fire for two hours Thursday evening.
About 5:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire at a single-family house on the 100 block of Greenway Drive in Bloomingdale, the fire department said.
While on the scene, investigators discovered the fire started in the laundry room and spread to the first floor.
Firefighters were putting out the flames until 7:30 p.m.
There were no injuries.
Information about the damage amount, cause of the blaze and whether the family was displaced was not available late Thursday night.
Carol Stream, Glendale Heights and Addison fire departments assisted Bloomingdale in fighting the fire.
