Briefs: Carrick plea delayed

The arraignment of a McHenry man charged with concealing the presumed murder of a Johnsburg teenager has been pushed back a week. Robert Render, 22 years old, was charged last week with concealing the murder of Brian Carrick, a 17-year-old from Johnsburg who disappeared in 2002. Render's arraignment had been scheduled for Thursday morning, was moved to 9 a.m. on July 31. Render, who is out on $4,000 bond, has been appointed a public defender. The arraignment was rescheduled because Render's attorney wasn't available Thursday.
