A leader should have forethought

There are a large number of letters in the Fence Post praising the abilities and virtues of Dan Seals.

Since he has virtually no public service experience, one might wonder what the source of these are.

Let's examine his public record.

As a political candidate, he devised a promotional scheme to enhance his name recognition. He organized a half price sale of gasoline and created a significant traffic jam.

He then excused the incident by saying that he never thought it would create a traffic mess. What outstanding forethought.

It seems to me that anyone with an IQ greater than his belt size would have realized that a vast number of people would have responded to the sale.

This is the man his followers want holding a high public office.

In my book, he couldn't organize a one-man parade and stay in step, let alone help lead our country.
