Believe scientists on global warming

The American Physical Society (APC) is an organization representing nearly 50,000 physicists. In a recent posting to its blog at www.aps.org, the blog editor Jeffrey Marque states that the organization has reversed its stance on climate change. They now proclaim that many of their members disbelieve in human-induced global warming.

Marque states that they disagree with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which states that people are likely the primary cause of climate change. An APC paper states that the IPCC's models grossly overestimate the amount of temperature change caused by a given amount of greenhouse gasses. It also states that global mean surface temperature has not risen since 1998 and may have fallen since late 2001!

The scientists are starting to toss the global warming fiasco onto the junk heap also occupied by the global cooling fiasco of the 1960s. It is time for the politicians, educators and media to follow suit.

Maybe someone should tell McCain, Obama and Gore!
