Briefs: Village may take credit cards
Villa Park residents soon could be paying village bills with a credit card. The village board has approved a contract with Intellipay, a Utah-based company. The board also gave the preliminary nod to hire Nxgen Payment Services to process the payments. If the contract is approved later this month, Nxgen will accept Mastercard, Discover and American Express for a fee equal to 5 percent of the bill.
Center seeks volunteers
The Naperville Cultural Center is seeking volunteers and interns to work in a multicultural setting for a not-for-profit organization that seeks to promote peace through understanding of the world's cultures. Volunteers can receive academic credits. Tasks may include helping the executive director in areas of advertising, public relations, communications, research and customer services. The center also is seeking board members for the Naperville Council for Business & the Arts that was formed as a result of an agreement between the center and the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
