Family Fishing Camp: 1-3 p.m., June 16, Meet at Independence Grove Forest Preserve 16400 W. Buckley Road in Libertyville (North Bay Pavilion). First- through ninth-graders can learn the proper way to bait a hook, cast a line, and other fishing skills. Bring a fishing pole or use one supplied by the Vernon Area Library District. Boy Scouts Golf Classic: 10:30 a.m. June 16, Kemper Lakes Golf Club, 24000 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods. Registration and driving range open at 10:30 a.m.; lunch at 11 a.m.; golf pro clinic at noon; shotgun start at 1 p.m.; beverages and hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m.; dinner at 6:30 p.m. $400 per golfer.
