Praise for reaching out to constituents

As a mother, I have raised my children to believe that one person can make a difference. Yet, when it comes down to it, as an adult it is difficult for me to believe that anyone can make a difference in the political process. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I read an article in the Daily Herald about Congressman Roskam's "There ought to be a law" initiative.

Roskam is actually asking his constituents for their ideas! It is a nice change to see an elected official do so much to reach out to his constituents. I hope this helps more people get engaged in our political process during these uncertain times.
