Fox Valley Relay for Life walks start today
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a unique, challenging and fun way to raise money for cancer research and increase awareness of services available to cancer patients, their families and our communities.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life begins at 6 p.m. with the Opening Ceremony and the Cancer Survivor's Victory Lap. Teams then begin walking and continue throughout the event.
At dusk, a candlelight luminaria ceremony is held to honor cancer survivors and to remember those who lost the battle against cancer.
Each team member is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 before the event.
